The How-to’s of escaping the Rat Race with Real Estate Pre-Foreclosures & Foreclosures.
An Collection of Posts from the Rich Dad Real Estate Forum by UtahInvestor
Welcome!
First, some special Thanks!
First, I want to thank Robert Kiyosaki for writing Rich Dad Poor Dad. In January of 2002, as I started to read his book, and really digging into how Robert got started building wealth, he stated that he borrowed $2,0000 from a friend, and went to the Courthouse-Steps, and bought a Real Estate property. I wonder, just how broke he was at that time, where he had to borrow a lowly sum of $2,000. I knew this was his beginning. I too, had a lowly beginning, having bad credit from too many medical bills with no health insurance for my family, and still living in the Rat Race. I knew I’d found a kindred brother, as I also started with borrowed money to do my first deal. I am so grateful for the breadcrumb trail, which he left behind for others to follow. I wondered, as I read more of his book with great anticipation, if the rules he chose to live by, were the same ones I’d learned. I was no only surprised, but shocked with the truths which he shared. Being an avid “skill” game lover, I was ever doubting this Cash Flow game which I’d heard about. I was joyed to see a game which can teach many people on many levels, and a game which can continue to serve-up life’s lessons, for those who see them. Robert, thank you.
I’d like to thank my friend Marcos, for bringing to the board. I love to remind him of the bashing he gave me at CRE online, and the subsequent emails we had to each other. Marcos, I consider you a good friend and colleuge.
I’d also like to thank Wildflower (Darci Warner), for completing the search, and grabbing my first 300 posts, so this “How-to” Booklet could be put together. Her cheerful smile and pleasant voice is always a joy to talk to. Thank you for all you’ve done.
I couldn’t go without mentioning my good friends Stacy & David. They reached out to me with friendship and respect from Day 1, and their never-ending support. Rarely does a day go by when Stacy isn’t bashing me in fun either on the board, or privately with emails. I want you both to know that I trust you, and there is no higher level of love, than trust.
I also want to thank Bob Bogan & Andrew Ford for their counsel and kind words. I consider you my friends.
Lastly, I’d like to thank my wife and children. I’m grateful for my wife Mardele, and her faith in me, knowing I could no longer live in the Rat Race, and respecting my decision to work for myself. I’m grateful for my 5 beautiful children who are patient with their Dad, who loves to do deals, to share what he’s learned, and my passion to teach, and to see others be financially successful too. May they know, that their patience with me, has given other families, their freedom from the Rat Race, to own their lives again, to spend their time how they choose, and build something that will benefit their families.
I dedicate this book to you, the reader. To the one who decided that being in the Rat Race isn’t for you. To the ones, who are willing to dig, to research, to ask, to learn, to risk, to grow, to seek a path, a path which you know will take you to your Financial Freedom. It is to you, that I dedicate these pages. May you find what you love to do, may you find your passion, to become the best at what you do. May you find the truths here, the steps you need to take, to get you where you want to be. I wish you the best.
Best Regards,
Utah Investor
P.S. Does that make sense? OK, here is a Table of Contents for all the following threads.
Table of Contents:

Les,
It is my intention to buy my Chauffer a bowl of rice. But not any rice. Special rice. Rice from across the waters.
Utah looking for Chauffer to assist. Probably will look at deals across the ocean. Utah asking Les if he wants Bowl of Rice from distant land.
Best Regards,
Utah
P.S. You weren't supposed to print it. Warning: print at own cost. Too many pages. Did you want a book? Grasshopper no reimburse for paper cost.

utahinvestor & all:
I printed the original version of this collection before I realized it's length.
Mistake? Absolutely not!
I will gladly print the completed version of this collection knowing full well its length!
It is worth all the paper and ink it takes to print it.
You are the best, my friend! Your committment to helping others knows no boundaries. I have become a better person by knowing you, and I certainly look forward to strengthening our friendship over the next several years.
To everyone else who may be reading this, you have been handed an opportunity. Do not waste it. Life does not always hand you such kindness and encouragement.
I wish you all well, and hope you propser by what you learn from Utah. I know that I certainly have.

Les,
My recommendation is to print from work. Oh yeah, you don't work, oh well.
Steve,
If I buy 2 Packets do I get the 3rd free?
Utah,
I'm taking bets on how long it is before Richdad.com calls you with a bill for their new server, just to support this thread. I've got $20 on 3 days.
All kidding aside, I've read every post you've made (or atleast skimmed for new content), I remember the first time I saw you post (in response to my advertising question), and I am so very grateful that you have come over to this board (Thanks Marcos) and blessed us all with your knowledge, and kindness. Thank you Utah.

Note to all:
If you leave Utah's post at the website's original font (7.5 point), it's only 83 pages long. :-)
Note to Utah:
Thank you for taking the time to organize your knowledge for us!

Can someone help an idiot (me) figure out how to print this so that I don't cut off the margins; I have tried to cut and paste it to Word with no luck. Believe me I have exhausted my brain in an attempt not to look foolish but have no other alternative at this point.
Thanks,

What is this "BUMP" business that I keep seeing?? I have no idea what it means, can someone please explain? I loved the humour in the whole work, especially the Grasshopper language, and the milkshakes. Too bad you don't traffic in Cadbury Fruit and Nut chocolate, Utah, eh? We dont have real chocolate Malts here in Australia. Friends of mine who are American lament this fact, saying all our milkshakes are, well, milky - in other words, not thick enough. Which brings me to my original point - will the stuff that you mentioned in your very, very large post work in Australia? You mentioned you lived a couple of years here. How different are the laws? I would like to get started ASAP. Thanks for the masses of time you must have spent Utah!
