Without giving away too much I'd like to get people's opinions on my strategy to sell my business know how. I have an award winning product which can be successfully used around the world. It is a low-cost, high margin product, can be setup and rolled out within a month or two. Here is the plan I have in mind:
Setup an operator in any suitable location (preferably in Australia, but can be elsewhere) for a realtively low fee, back it by non-disclosure agreement and contract to use my name/brand, and also as part of payment for training I'd have a minority stake in the new business.

Any suggestions on how can I do it better or differently?

Thanks

Have you considered Franchising and/or Licensing?

1. financial

Yes, I looked at franchising and licensing. The problem is that my business has only been running for under 3 years and on small scale (1 production facility and 2 shops currently). Therefore I do not have enough data/background/systems in place to franchise. The cost of setting that up is high and I'm not keen to go into that much effort (even though it could make more money). I'd rather someone replicate what I do with proper training and be an independent operator. In terms of licencing the process is too legal and complicated for my liking. What I propose is that the person that is trained and setup will issue 5% of capital in their venture to me - that way I get ongoing benefit, and they will continue to receive support, plus I will be more satisfied that they will not just "run away" and rebrand my product under different name.

Your knowledge is worth something; however, if you take your focus off the money and provide value first without charging, they will flock to you. This industry have a large amount of people involved with many, many network marketing companies that are failing. They have bought into the hype and rah-rah of the company and now do not understand how to market.

I have been providing a FREE Marketing & Training System for ANY one of these businesses and having great success. Once you provide the value, they see how they can begin today seeing results, there will a certain percent of those who will then invest in you. Again the system is FREE! Make it a great day!
