2010 is almost over and 2011 is just around the corner. Are you ready?
Every year Robert and I begin the new year by going someplace special where we reflect on the past year, write down our wins and successes, and set our goals for the coming year.
If you're serious about achieving great things, then I highly recommend that you implement a similar process. And what better day to start than 1/1/11?
Here's a video
I recorded at the beginning of the year 2010 about the process Robert and I go through. Even though the video is a year old, the advice is as good as ever - this is the process we have been using for years; it's become a tradition.
I also recommend that you read the blog post
by my friend Lisa Lannon about the process she and her husband go through, which is very similar to ours.
Reflecting on the past year and setting new goals is just the beginning. You may have heard that successful people have goals and that's true. But they don't just have goals - they take the action necessary to make them a reality. So set some S.M.A.R.T. goals - then go out there and make them happen!
UPDATE: Your 2011 Financial Goals
Goals are more likely to be achieved if they're written down, and even more so if they're shared with others. We asked you to share your 2011 financial goals with us to show your commitment to your financial progress, and some of you took up the challenge! Click here
