Celebrate Your Financial Freedom Journey on March 8th

It's time to take action and live the life you deserve.

It’s early in the morning, and men are hurrying to the local market to buy the women in their lives flowers. Females of all ages will receive lots of compliments and be treated very well today.

Is it Mother’s Day?

Is it Valentine’s Day?

No, it’s International Women’s Day, and on March 8th, the world will be celebrating this special day. Started in 1917 in Russia to celebrate women’s changing role in society, it’s a great day for all of us to look at how far we’ve come and review our plans for the future.

With this in mind, how is your journey to financial freedom going?

As I’ve said in previous, financial freedom blog posts, the U.S. Census Bureau indicates that of the adults over age 65, approximately 8,078,398 females live alone, and "out of the estimated 46,215,956 people in the U.S. living below the poverty line, approximately 25 million of them are women."

Ladies, are you taking action to improve your lives by increasing your financial education? If not, it’s time to WAKE UP!

What are you waiting for? Maybe your partner handles all of the finances or you just don’t want to deal with money and numbers. Well, what happens if something, God forbid, happens to your partner? And if you have your head in the sand and are scared to look at your financial situation, it’s time to “put on your big girl pants” as my good friend says, and get to work!

Relying on others to take care of you is a thing of the past. International Women’s Day reminds us how women in history sacrificed and worked hard to give us the rights we have today, and it’s time to take advantage of these opportunities.

Now, you can change your life for the better without having money, a husband or a diploma. It’s all a matter of finding the right information, increasing your knowledge and then taking action on what you learn. Need help getting started?

  • Take action!
Once you aspire and begin to acquire the financial education you need, it’s time to take action (Triple-A Triangle™). Hang around with smart, supportive people and learn from your mistakes. And even if things are really bad right now, keep learning and doing, and you’ll move forward to a better place. As Winston Churchill said, “If you're going through hell, keep going.”

Celebrate Financial Freedom.

International Women’s Day is almost here, and it’s a good time to look at your life now and where you want to be in the future. The important thing is to take this single day of celebration and remember it every day.

Do one thing each day to increase your financial education and get one step closer to your life of financial freedom. You owe it to yourself and all of the women who have fought for you in the past to have the freedoms you have today.

How are you going to celebrate and take advantage of all the financial education opportunities available to you today?
