How do you use information for your financial freedom?

Next week, Robert and I will be presenting at the first, National Achievers Congress in the United States in San Jose, California. We will be sharing the stage with experts Donald Trump, Anthony Robbins, Harv Eker, and many others to discuss ways to create wealth and success in today’s economy. Hundreds of people will pay admission and watch the presentations.

It will be an exciting event offering many opportunities and insider secrets. But after the event, I know exactly what will happen to most of the attendees. They will go home excited to make changes in their lives, review the materials and then… turn on the television. Life will take over. There will be laundry and cleaning to do, work to finish, kids to take to soccer practice, meals to be cooked… the list goes on.

All of the inspiration and information received at the conference will become a distant memory. And even though many people will attend the National Achievers Congress, very few will actually use the information to achieve anything.

Don’t let this happen to you.

How many times have you been to an event where a speaker motivates you to make positive changes in your life, you get some great information that you can’t wait to use, and then you don’t do anything with that knowledge?

It is very common. Studies indicate that “that short-term memory is limited to 7±2 discrete items and is subject to rapid degradation unless promptly reinforced.” Our short-term memory and daily tasks can really get in the way of achieving goals… so how do you retain what you learn and move forward?

It’s the third and most important step of the Triple-A Triangle™ in It’s Rising Time! – Apply!

While at a conference, meeting or any event, ask questions, get involved and take notes. Think about how you can use this information to achieve your goals. Then, write down action steps you will take specific to this information. When you get home, figure out when you will take these action steps and place them on your calendar. Then, as the famous Nike slogan goes, “Just Do It™!”

The Secret to Financial Freedom is to Take Action.

So many of us make excuses, rely on others or are just plain lazy when it comes to getting a financial education, creating wealth and living a richer life. The secret to financial freedom is to take action. After all, you can receive the best training from the top gurus in the world, but if you don’t take action on that information, you waste time, energy and money.

Look at your schedule and figure out how to make positive changes happen in your life. You may need to get up earlier, stay up later, stop watching television, or give up some time you spend with friends and family. But the sacrifices you make now will give you the financial freedom to do whatever you want with your time in the future… so take action and start your journey to a richer life.
