Finding Your Why

meet your own rich dad - start your quiz now

One of the biggest challenges in life is knowing your “Why.”  In other words, why do you do what you do?  What motivates and excites you with endless energy and passion? A Why could also be seen as “one’s purpose in life.”  Basically, why are you here?  What are you here to do on this planet?

In today’s world, there are so many people working in a JOB that they hate.  Jobs that just “pays the bills.”  Many employees settle for a job that they find themselves in.  Have you ever asked yourself, “How in the world did I get here?”  One day waking up and finding yourself in a job that you dislike?

If you dread going to work and find yourself complaining about your job, you may want to call a “time out” and re-evaluate the life that you have settled for.

Everyone has a true gifting, a natural gift or talent, but very few actually discover it, work on it, and master their gifts.

We get to trust in our dreams.  Do you remember when you were a kid?  Anything in life was possible.  Dreams were real and you knew you could do anything.  This inner knowing was truth.  We cannot give up on our dreams for they are our’s and no one else’s.

We do have the power to turn our dreams into reality.  It takes dedication, drive, a strong why, alignment, support, and financial IQ.

For instance, growing up, I never thought I would make the choices I did.  I never dreamed I would wake up and ask myself, “What happened to my life?” “How did I become an alcoholic?”  I partied, had a lot of crazy fun, and wasted a lot of years.  I never thought this was going to be my life.  It was only supposed to be “just a period of having fun.”  Well the fun ended and the trap did not.

From the traditional frame of thought and program, I really had no right building my own company.  I had all the odds stacked against me.  I did not finish school; I am dyslexic and pretty much unemployable.   Like an article by the Huffpost Education, “High School Dropouts: How They Affect the Tax Payers and the Economy.”  It goes on to say: “dropouts cost taxpayers between $320 billion and $350 billion a year in lost wages, taxable income, health, welfare, and incarceration costs, among others.” Little do they know that with the right Financial Education and Financial IQ, even a high school dropout could create hundreds of jobs and employ professionals like doctors and therapists.

Through the past, I found my true purpose, my why.  I found my passion and my tribe (group of people I relate too).  Through the framework of Rich Dad’s B/I Triangle and a committed drive, my wife and I created Journey Healing Centers.  JHC is a Private International Accredited Drug and Alcohol Rehab that assists thousands to heal from their own struggles of addiction.  It was my dream; my purpose and I took it on with everything I had.

Look into your past.  Reflect back and see it as the gift that is there for you.  Your purpose can be found in your past.  There are no accidents. Never allow anyone to label you.  You are the creator if your life.  From the movie “Invictus;”

“I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.”
by William Ernest Henley.

Everything that happened to you happened for a reason.  Lean from it and see the gifts that they really were.
