What is a Known Event in the stock Market and how does it affect you?

A known event is an event where the time of the announcement for the event has been made in advance. For example, traders of the stock market eagerly await the earnings announcement issued by companies each quarter. Another example is Forex traders who look for economic reports (unemployment reports, inflationary data) and announcements made by central banks.
